Trip Itinerary
Approximate driving time: 5.5 – 6 hours (225 km)
You will be picked up from your hotel/residence in Nairobi early morning and transferred to the meeting point at Nairobi City Market, where you’ll link up with your guide and other guests. After a short briefing, begin your journey to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve aboard a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof—ideal for photography and game viewing.
Enjoy a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch and take in the breathtaking escarpment before continuing via the scenic towns of Narok and Suswa. You’ll arrive at Mara Camp in time for a welcome drink, check-in, and a hot lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll set out for your first game drive in the Masai Mara. Keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and the big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and a cozy overnight stay under canvas.

After an early breakfast, depart with your packed picnic lunch for a full-day game drive across the vast plains of Masai Mara. Explore deep into the reserve, possibly reaching the Mara River, famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration and massive Nile crocodiles.
Expect to encounter an incredible variety of wildlife including buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, warthogs, antelopes, ostriches, and more. Your expert driver-guide will help you track animals and share insights into animal behavior and the ecosystem.
