The Yatta Plateau is the longest lava flow that runs along the western boundary of the park. Its length was formed by lava from Ol Donyo Sabuk Mountain. It also has the Lugard Falls, which is a series of white-water rapid on the Galana River. Aruba Dam was built in 1952 across the river Voi.
